There are three basic things that you need to know, and when you have them down – growing a successful garden is a snap…okay, a lot easier. Join Farmer Greg for this lively discussion and discover your way into an incredible edible garden – and yes, this is a perfect time to be planting.

Desert Gardening Made Easy.

Gardening in the low desert has a unique set of challenges. Edmund will talk about the differences of gardening here and how it changes techniques. He will discuss different methods of gardening and weigh their pros and cons. These techniques include in-ground gardening, raised beds, hydroponics, aquaponics, wicking beds, and LEHR Gardens.

Weeds: The Good, The Bad, and The Yummy!

It is said that ‘Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’, and if you can learn to recognize the benefits of those persistent volunteers, you might not be so quick to get rid of them. Come see and taste some common garden weeds that you can harvest and eat. There will be samples of food made with weeds to try.
